Coffee roasters that offer unroasted espresso blends

Well I ordered many green beans from compass or from mike directly (Green Cofee Buying Club) and they were all fantastic coffees and all well packed. Never ordered roasted coffee from them though. And of course Sweet Maria's is a fantastic source of green coffee

How much do you roast at a time?

I usually roast 227g batches (half a pound) so all my batches are equal

Lack of originality? Same generic coffee description

This is actually a good thing for green coffee because you can easily find beans to build a blend with. But I do agree that depending on the roast level of the coffee the description should change. The roasters that simply roast any beans to the same levels are the one using those generic descriptio...

Yes P5 is really too gentle and I wouldn't use it except for island grown coffees (Hawaii, blue mountain, etc.). You can't really go darker than city/city+ with it

Pre-roasting coffee w/behmor

You can just preheat in the behmor by starting it 2 minutes without the beans in at P1 (only the chaff collector) and hitting stop at 1:59. Also, use a 1/2lb batch and the 1lb P1 preset so you have 18 minutes of roasting. If you really want to roast 1lb, i suggest preheating for 2 minutes but with the

I got a Behmor 1600

My 3 or 4 first roasts were also too quick for my liking... The first crack blended with the second. Right now, after a dozen roasts, there is a minute or more between the cracks. Also about the door, only when i go into 2nd and hit the cool button there is only smoke coming out from the gasket and

Need a coffee to blow my mind!

I would suggest the panama elida natural from klatch which is incredible or the ethiopian konga from compass if you want a fruit bomb. This is what I've been roasting in the past weeks and they both blew my mind!
