Battling some GS3 nuts

Update: The flex head flare nut open end wrenches did the trick. I was able to get all the parts tight and when I plugged the machine in the pump kicked on with no leaks. It pumped for about 60 seconds then errored out. Turns out I ordered a 240V solenoid instead of the 120V needed. Figured it

Battling some GS3 nuts

I think you are right. Flex head flare wrenches are probably the ticket. Going to pick up a set today. {link} Thanks! Chris

Battling some GS3 nuts

In a semi-catastrophic failure, the gasket on the heating element side of the steam boiler gave out. Lots of steam, water and cleanup and and even bigger job to replace it. You have to remove and loosen a ton of pipes and nuts to get it out. This happened in January of this year but due to Covid, a ...

La Marzocco GS3 - steam heat element gasket failure

My left side gasket failed earlier this week. It was not a big blow out but rather it just sounded like a steam wand was open inside the case. I am going to do a few other PMs while I replace it but the big one is whether I should also replace the right side gasket? It looks like a

Lyn Weber EG-1 Impressions

This is also my experience also. After reading OP's first post on that I also tested and found that 1 notch in either direction was not enough to move outside of variations I expect from subtle variations of prepping each puck. But I only have between 5-6 lbs through mine so far

Lyn Weber EG-1 Impressions

How did you run 50 lbs through? I was thinking about this last night, I run 18 to 20 gram shots for espresso and do 6-7 espresso per day. Estimating on the high side that is 140 grams per day. 50 pounds is 22,680 grams or 162 days. I have access to pretty much all the coffee I

What to run through new grinder for break-in and testing

Check with your local roaster and see if they will sell you their past profile roasts. When dialing in a roast, a roaster will accumulate a lot of minimum batch sizes for their roaster lots that won't be used and if they are bad enough also won't be taken home by employees. If you are friendly with ...

You need to replace the group head gasket. It is Marzocco part number H.3.001 or H.3.002. There are 2 thicknesses. I would get the thinner of the 2
