Where to buy Kona while in Kona

From that same mainland roaster I also ordered some Ka Ľu coffee that was very enjoyable. At $80/lb it was overpriced but at least it was nice coffee

Greens Alert

yeah, it just strongly implies their coffees were actually judged in a CoE and got a score, and if you believed that were true you might actually think the prices were reasonable. like their "signature blend" is an 89 and the Finca La Suiza gesha is also an 89 -- must be a great blend, it's $16 a

Quick Mill Silvano Evo Broken Water Line Connection

I can only find one half of the broken connection in your pictures. The only issue I see might be removing the other half of the broken piece which is what I can't find, assuming the part in the first picture connected to the tube with a ty-wrap is the broken piece

Greens Alert

I think that they're giving the score that they are coming up with using the Cup of Excellence scoring methodology. It's a number . FYI, here's the old (2001) CoE cupping form with instructions, courtesy Sweet Maria's (pdf link): {link} (The current CoE form doesn't have instructions: {link} )

98mm Burrs for Brew

I want to jump in because I own an ek43s and I want to improve my grinder for espresso with the SSP HU burrs but at the same time try not to lose quality and taste in filter because I drink both regularly. I grind at the moment with the standard burrs and have problems for some roasts to

Controlling the RPM of a DF64 with a VFD

Interesting... I would have figured the external VFD already has a motor start function built in, making the start circuit built into the DF64 redundant. So this is a know-what-you're-doing sort of hack, given the voltages and currents involved. Dunno if this warrants a new thread, but I wonder if it might be simpler to swap in a

Upgrading espresso machine for no future regrets

Got it-so the needle valve is, from a water-flow perspective, already "before" both the group head and the hot water spigot, and as long as you don't also trigger the electronics that manage the solenoid between them, adjusting it can adjust the standard infusion flow?
