La Pavoni 1996 pressurestat adjustment

based on the Images it appears that your pressurestat isn't adjustable. on the adjustable ones there is a plastic screw that allows you to set the pressure. So if you want to change it you will have to replace the pressurestat. Then again, 0.7 bars is the reccommended boiler pressure for making espresso on a pre-millennium La Pavoni. higher boiler

Sounds about right. My order on the 22nd was 14XX, and when I re-ordered on the 24, it was 24XX. So 3#150 on the 26th seems normal. New to gas roasting - please help!

Even four seems like alot. Typically I'll adjust the gas twice before hitting first crack (typically 390°+or-) & my ET (measured inside the upper drum area) stays above BT right to the end. Most of my roasts are in the City+ to Full City range & I don't let the ET climb above 440°F before drop

yes.. if you are new to the field.. trying out something is of limited value because your taste and skill are at the beginning of the learning curve.. So research as best you can, buy the one you find will fit the bill, then learn to use the machine to its potential.. that will take a while
