Nuova Simonelli Mac Personal 1 - Programming doesn't work
Thanks WWWired, reading your older posts on these machines convinced me to take a stab at mine For closure, I found out from NS directly that the older control boards used manual potentiometer style adjustments behind the buttons. The newer style control panel will have the button method. Thanks for all your work on this board!

Decent Espresso news
{image} Now available: optional lid for DE1 water tank The DE1 water tank slides under the espresso machine, with a few millimeters cap between it and the bottom of the machine. Usually, that is perfectly ok to prevent dust and insects from getting in. However, some places have more insects than others, and so a well-fitting

Mazzer Philos Comments
Sorry, I was referring to the "Timemore Sculptor 078s". And this wasn't the only grinder I had to shim right out of the box, I had the same issue even with smaller burrs and well established manufacturers (Eureka Specialita 55mm) but at least in Eureka's case, the access to the burr chamber and the entire alignment procedure was a breeze

New Mazzer grinder announcement - Mazzer Philos
The sweetness descriptor sounds lots like many cast burrs that also have this effect on light roast. Making them sweeter a tad less clear and nuanced than say the high clarity ones but precent light roast well, something traditional espresso burrs really do not doz

Highest chance of success - roasters
Kaffelogic can be used successfully with limited roasting knowledge using one of the many available roasting profiles, and is totally repeatable. Batch size is small, but running a few roasts back to back is super-simple

Differences between Ww core 80mm and Ssp 83mm HU in espresso
Yeah I try other beans and ratios sometimes but always come back to the old Faithfull. It's true a different burr may be able to bring out something I like in lighter roasts or longer pulls but it's a huge expense 500-900 NZD if I don't like it. Also the cast LS wug bused to offer have been

Thanks alot for the response mate! I did take the water level probe and valve off, descaled it and even put the valve in cafiza, to get dirt away. Beginner seeking espresso setup first purchase recommendations
Hi guys, I am an absolutely, complete total coffee beginner, located in Melbourne Australia looking to update my coffee game. Currently I just buy pre-ground coffee from the supermarket and brew it in a Breville aroma style BCM600. Out side of home I buy a cappuccino, and my fiancé likes a double strength latte. Pretty much I only make

The Grinder Evolution Continues
Most of the fancy third-wave shops I know took their Roburs off the counter years ago. Their iconic 83mm conical burrs in the 220 V models (which is the same as in your Key) are seen by many as not modern enough anymore in the era of light roasts and many new flat burr grinders. Me, I am still
