Breville Dual Boiler Mods and Maintenance
Well..... got an issue lol. Machine turned on today and hissing and steam is coming from bottom/port into the drip tray. If I pinch the line from steam boiler as can see in video it stops. I came across a few things people said with this even elsewhere but no fix or what's causing it unless I missed something? Saw

It's in very good original condition I think, and very complete pending the arrival of the glass and its hat Disassembly begins It started with a curiosity, and it sort of devolved into a full disassembly After checking out the spring inside the large piston chamber and checking out that group

Is Heat Exchanger Temperature Stability Really That Bad?
I find the added variability of dynamic weather patterns (in a 4-season locale) + atmospheric changes to be even more intriguing. Both affect the fineness of grind and shot yield in my ~10 years of mucking around with this stuff

Bezzera Strega: Grouphead "Air Lock"
I have an old Bezzera Strega. Recently, when I make the first espresso shot everything goes fine. However, when I make a second shot the water does not come out of the group head, but instead goes to the drip tray. This happens even if the second shot is an empty basket (e.g. with no resistance). Once the machine cools

That makes it sound like a great option for me. I would rather have a grinder that is good for espresso and just ok for pour over. I am more willing to compromise my pour over than my espresso. I would even be willing to grind a bunch for pour over at home before leaving on a trip and only

Any alternative to Behmor?
The Skywalker seems to be the best alternative, even though it takes some effort to get it working with Artisan

Right out of the box the dial was perfect for the Flair, I had to go a notch or two finer for the Profitec. I didn't have any problems with the steps, especially when at the price I expected a fair amount of compromise

Advice on downgrading Behmor 2000ab to Whirley Pop
100% is 5, 75% is 4, etc. down to 0% is 1. I am running 12 oz at 100% and monitoring the temperature to keep from having it shut off at 330, so any time it hits 320 I drop to 75%. I run two batches back to back, since my coffee tin holds the results nicely
