How often do you clean your grinder, and do they get very dirty?

I had my KafaTek MAX for around a year before switching from SSP to Shuriken burrs. When I disassembled, there wasn't much of anything to clean. But when I had a Mahlkönig Peak, there was quite a lot to clean in a short time. It varies a lot with the grinder. I also wonder if the thinner, harder

Lelit Mara (PL62s) overheating

Purchased a used Lelit Mara (not an X) about four months ago and in the last week found that it was overheating. (It hadn't been before.) The group head thermometer is hitting high 220s at which point the machine began to make some very loud noises. Released steam and drained some water to get it down to

I've recently started using the steel cup that came with the grinder instead of grinding directly into the basket (it's cleaner this way, with no loss in flavor), and am

My grinders it's quick taking both carrier out like a 5min job, so It's quick to brush burr, carrier and chamber, otherwise I would just brush the burr in place on the inner carrier. I only wipe down with a microfibre cloth, clean the collar and reapply lube after months of use

Something that I noticed about the SSP 80mm HU burrs. Unlike the Labsweet and machined 804 burrs, there is imbedded grounds in each of the "blades" running the outer half of the burrs. Does that tend to happen with SSP burrs as they cutting action might be more aggressive?
