Dating vintage espresso machines [ANCC, Serial]

Thanks for the update Ryan. That's a very interesting information: it confirms that numbers on manometers are really date (here written in the YYmm format), and also the special numbering for exported models (they have no ANCC number, but the date on the manometer).

Rocket Evoluzione 2 - Fixing control board

Here's a few clues, though I haven't been able to find the complete diagram itself. {link} has a list of control board fitment, but nothing completely clear on the Evoluzione 2. The spare parts list from {link} lists A190004525 Chris' Coffee shows the unit at {link} which clearly shows the wiring diagram on the Gicar controller.

Spring Lever accidents

No need for photos, I believe you. I just thought that a thread about spring lever accidents ought to have at least a few actual accident reports. I'm trying to think if I've ever injured myself doing anything coffee related. Nothing... I'll have to think about it longer. EDIT: I hand filed and polished the base of my Robot. The...

KINGrinder manual grinders. The new king of value?

Unless there's a statement from one or both firms that they are the same, or the same owners, that a suggestion of that is "public" isn't very meaningful. When I go to the 1Zpresso site, there is an address, telephone numbers, and email addresses provided at {link} No. 128, Asia Road, Tucheng District New Taipei City 236 Taiwan I am...

KINGrinder manual grinders. The new king of value?

If there's any truth to the quote maybe @Rcus will do more than just say it. 1Zpresso: No. 128, Asia Road, Tucheng District, New Taipei City 236, Taiwan {link} Kingrinder is apparently a product of the Chen Kang Coffee Co., Ltd. 11F.-3, NO. 22, SHOUDE ST., ZHONGHE DIST NEW TAIPEI CITY TAIWAN 235601 {link} Would a mainland Chinese company pretend...

Spring Lever accidents

I can. Six weeks after my second child was born and I was on a sleep deficit, I was hurrying to get out the door and the lever slipped as I pulled it down for preinfusion. I was fortunate that it only hit the small gap between the bottom of my chin and where my teeth start. Lots of blood...

Rocket Giotto Premium Plus - Very long time before water comes out of grouphead

Your plan looks good to me. Your three new brew valves will have seals alreadty in them, and you can perhaps install the new seals in the old valves. Sometimes the pins break when trying to replace the little seals so you'll be covered in case that happens. If the old pins are good (not worn at the ends) and...
