Is this boiler salvageable

It looks like BSP. If those first few threads are gacked you could tap with NPT, and use a conversion fitting, or tap it to the next size up BSP, there appears to be enough meat. Other option would be to braze or tig weld a new fitting to the outside

Mazzer Omega hand grinder

Sounds like the fast burrs aren't a good choice for light roasts then, good to know. We talking about the hand grinders over $250 video? He's wasn't too positive about the Omega in that one

Problem with my Flair 58 plus

Thanks. This angle with lever about horizontal is quite small on your machine (so it is bigger to the other side at the very top and bottom, which is not a big problem) - plunger indeed has some tendency to tipple forward at the beginning - unlike on OP's machine, where this angle seems to be considerably bigger, pushing the

Problem with my Flair 58 plus

Here's an actual view of the stem and (V3)plunger alignment while the lever travels:{video}{image} {image} A bit different from your drawing. Since the hook / joint connection rotate, doesn't it act as an axis that helps the plunger to self align even when the forces are not applied perfectly vertically during the pull? I'm not an

Best grinder aesthetically for KDVW Speedster

The more I look the Titus grinder is really perfect aesthetically and certainly every bit as high quality as the current Kafatek. I'd probably lean toward the Nimbus as it is more oriented for espresso vs the Nautilus. I've read that the Nautilus can be unforgiving in exposing any flaws in the beans. Even though the Nimbus has

~$7k budget for grinder and espresso machine: La Marzocco Linea Micra + Zerno Z1? Monolith Flat?

I'd go used Linea Mini if you can find one and have the counter space. Had mine since before the Micra was released but I'd be buying a used Mini today if buying again. Nothing wrong with the Micra at all but I see it as a good option for those who want a Mini but don't have the

The craziest %#*$ing thing I've seen all day...

By weight dark would have a higher proportion of caffeine if my understanding is correct, because caffiene is not lost, or not much, during the roast but other stuff is - on the other hand by volume darker roasts would have less since the beans grow more. Did I get that right? I guess caffeine-per-bean stays about the same, in
