Well, the Decent is much more of a known quantity. You can buy it today, has a large community around it, and it has a good resale market as well. The Meticulous definitely seems cool from a concept level, but you will have to wait for an uncertain ship date and if any issues with it emerge.

Shocked to read this thread about flow rate changing with the 1/2 pot, full pot switch. Any E61-style machine is going to take 30-45 minutes to be ready from cold. For me, that has become a significant drawback. I got used to deciding I wanted an espresso and bring about to enjoy one within 15 minutes. A smart switch can help for mornings if your timing is predictable, but not really later in the day.
