Humidity sensor on exhaust - other gas sensors ?
Got it. Interested in suggestions for other entry points. I think two key challenges are: negative air pressure in the roasting chamber and avoiding the combustion byproducts from the gas heater. Replace the BT probe with a combined tube/thermocouple? Go in through the hopper or exit chute? Just drill a hole?

Any alternative to Behmor?
Thanks for the idea. So, are you saying either the original low speed "Drum Motor - Standard Speed - 8/16 RPM @$29.95" or newer "Drum Motor - High Speed - 16/32 RPM @49.95" will work as a replacement on the original 1600 without swapping the control and power board included in the "1600 or 1600 Plus version Upgrade Kit @$129"?

Breville charcoal filters? And 54mm blind portafilter
I also received a personal notification from @HB, stating "Do you mean "bottomless" portafilter here?" I've heard them called several titles, blind, bottomless, etc. So yes, my comment is on one and the same

DIY La Marzocco Linea Micra Scale Tray
Thanks, yeah I had to design it all. Still need to design the float indicator, which I guess for plumb in is still a good idea to notify of a clog

Option-O Lagom 01 Discussion
Are any of the Lagom 01 owners here based in the EU? Other than VAT (additional ~20% of 01's value), were you hit with any levies or taxes before you could take delivery of your grinder?

Yoshan DY-1 tipping
Your environment/exhaust temp spikes hard when you introduce your first gas adjustment. I'd bring the charge temp to 190C or even higher. I'd likely play with how you are introducing the higher gas as well. I'd let the heat ride a bit longer too since your Maillard is so long and seems to stall out before first crack

Fellow's new brewer - Aiden Q&A
Thanks Nick. In your videos you also say pushing extraction rates higher than 20%. Is that with cheap "accessible" filters from the grocery store?

Any alternative to Behmor?
I'm with the others. Replace what you need and keep using it if everyone is happy. Repair as you go will be a lot less expensive than the newer units over time. I'd be tickled to have something 15 years and then still be able to get repair parts for it

Any alternative to Behmor?
Then definitely fix the Behmor. As long as they supply spare parts, it will never wear out. You can put in the fast motor if you want, I forget which speed it will run at but it will work fine. You can also do things like loosen the screw on the temperature sensor at the right rear of the chamber
