Cafelat Robot User Experience

I also do about 10 sec PI usually, but I have started just watching the portafilter and when is is fully covered in coffee droplets I gradually step up the pressure.

Getting the most out of an EK43s and La Marzocco Linea Mini

Since no one has answered, I'll give it a try. I'd start by saying that the traditional ekspresso as I recall required the ability to do long pre-infusion, something the LM Mini can't do. The EK depending on the burrs you have is a brew grinder that could be well aligned and then used for brewing light roast espresso in...

Flair Pro 2: 12.5 microns vs 22 microns?

I think what coffees you're pulling make a big difference. A classic espresso blend has a lot of latitude in grind, dose, extraction profile, and temperature. The best of the classic blends work in 1950s home levers, commercial levers, overheated E61s, and modern-day commercial, pump-driven machines. Flair Pro 2: 12.5 microns vs 22 microns?

So there's really no difference in considerations between choosing a grinder for a full-blown espresso machine vs a lever is that correct? Just purely from my own naïve expectations I think pulling by hand might be less precise (no matter how expert) in exactly a manner that would nullify any resolution differences below a certain grind resolution? As an analogy...

Knob Coffee Grinder (Kickstarter)

"A disaster for right-handers"! are you serious??? there is no difference in ergonomics, the muscle loads and vectors are the same, ccw or cw. if your brain has problems to process the ccw motion, that seems to be rather a personal problem. what, you write numbers and letters with loops/half-loops always strictly in cw direction? what about driving? you only...

New Eureka Mignon Single Dose Grinder

You do need it to prevent popcorn-ing of the beans due to no force/weight from top of it like on demand grinders. Even the Niche has one which they after customers' comments. This is something I noticed before but without some anti-popcorn mechanism, not only it grinds slower but also the last few beans just grind a bit coarser, something...

New (to me) gravimetric grinder

Not the first one for sure if you only mean "grinder with a scale under 1k". The Baratza Sette 270wi was released some time ago. But if you meant with that kind of burr, then probably is the first.
