Weber Workshops UNIBASKET grounds stuck

I knock the puck out and give the PF a quick rinse in the sink. I then hold the steam wand so it's touching (or almost touching) the bottom of the basket with the PF upside down. I'm using a DE1, so I may have dryer steam than some machines, but it doesn't make a mess. It does get a

Breville Barista Express + bottomless portafilter

Haz... Thanks for the reply. I agree with you! It's been a few months that i've been buying my beans from a roaster not too far from me. Their beans, compared to the regular store-bought brands is night and day. The crema you get from freshly roasted beans is completely different. I was stuck this week and couldn't go pick

Breville Barista Express + bottomless portafilter

Hi all, I was just going through some posts on here and came across this one. Even though it's old, I still wanted to provide some input. I've had a Barista Express for about seven years and switched to a bottomless portafilter two years ago. I can confirm that the freshness of your beans is 90% (or more)

User Experience with the Strietman CT2

Thanks for this insight. I'd like to not have it on a board for sure. Hard to picture what you mean exactly about the edge pad but I guess it will be more obvious when the machine arrives. If you don't mind could you measure the length of the area from just behind the vertical risers of the

Here's the TL;DR introductory post about one size fits all grinders, and how the Philos hits a home run in this new category. {image} Augur fed 200 burr, shown uncleaned after two weeks use. Many people's first home grinder was a small conical with ten to twenty grind settings marked from "Espresso" to "French Press." The first

How often do you clean your grinder, and do they get very dirty?

Depends on the grinder but on the collar there is grease, some even supply it with the grinder, others you need to apply it on the auger (vertical) also inside the closed adjustment mechanism (ek43, ode etc. the mechanism and bearing is lubed and will eventually need to be cleaned and reapplied (usually take many years of use before necessary)

Caffeine break

This is a really interesting topic and as a new aficionado the idea of down regulating my caffeine intake had certainly crossed my mind. I'm curious though which decaf coffee you have found that you enjoy and find as a suitable replacement for espresso. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

DIY La Marzocco Linea Micra Scale Tray

That looks pretty great to me. Did you have to draw it in CAD prior to printing?

Izzo Alex Duetto 3 - help with wet steam and low pressure

Yes, the red circled device is the fill probe. I would try that first and see what happens
