Highest chance of success - roasters

SM coffee roasted on an Aillio Bullet will blow away local average roasters wherever you live. It doesn't have PID control (recipes control power/fan/drum speed), but PID control doesn't make much sense on a drum roaster anyways. It's pricey but I don't think anything else compares if you want something electric, portable, and automatic (except for ending the roast) that

Decaf ESE pods 3 ways with Lelit Elizabeth

My wife and some guests like decaf espresso milk drinks from the late afternoon on. I have one grinder without single dose ability and decaf espresso goes stale pretty fast here. Tried using decaf. ESE pods three ways. 1. Pod in 1-cup basket. Result watery and just plain wimpy. 2. Opening pod and pouring contents into same basket. Results a

Highest chance of success - roasters

Hi all, I'm interested in getting into coffee roasting purely as a means of producing good coffee in the varieties and taste profiles I want (I don't want another hobby). Are the PID controlled roaster options + proven roast recipes/profiles going to produce something consistent and drinkable? Would using an Aillio bullet + sweet marias

Breville Dual Boiler Mods and Maintenance

Was the old o-ring you replaced all munged up? So far for me, on my mid-2018 machine, I've been able to get by with packing a little silicone grease up in the bottom. My next trick when I get around to it will be to wrap the spring from a clicker pen around the rod, just

Lelit Bianca User Experience

Take off the top if the vacuum breaker does not have a clear tube to the discharge valve going into the drip tray and is not leaking then it's probably a bad opv valve. If it has a silicone tube from the vacuum valve into the drip tray it could be a bad vacuum valve . If both

Lelit Bianca User Experience

I'm also having an issue where my pump is engaging to fill the steam boiler a lot. I don't remember how often it used to happen but I hear it from the other room turning the pump on for a few seconds many times a day. It also does not happen when the steam boiler is switched off. I opened

Enrico Cappuccino Amore CE-14 Revisited

Welcome to H-B! Francesco has some descriptions and photographs of units he has seen or restored that may be of some help. {link} Before spending a lot of money on the machine, I would consider some of the experiences and opinions of the machine. If it has a lot of sentimental value to you, then it may

Mazzer Philos Comments

I know from their site that the collar wheel is the adjuster. Still seems like it would require a fair amount of upper clearance to get a precise view of it, which might limit its suitability for under-counter locations

Inconsistent extractions on Breville Bambino Plus

As really rough guidelines for medium and medium-dark roasts (lighter than visibly oily) of coffees intended for espresso, a bag will often start to change noticeably in a week to ten days after being opened, maybe two weeks at the outside. This class of coffees generally does well between about a week and a month from roast, assuming that the
