Pietro by Fiorenzato - vertical flat-burr manual grinders

How long does it take to grind a shot? Thinking of ordering one, but IDK if I have the patience to grind for more than a minute or so for each shot

[FS] Kinu M47

Selling my Kinu M47 Simplicity hand grinder. Originally got it for travel espresso, but recently got rid of my Robot, and don't need this grinder anymore. I've had it for about a year and have probably used it ~20 times. It is in excellent condition. Price: $275, shipping to CONUS included in this price. {image}

Roasting Gayo Wet-Hulled

So usually once you get to know your machine you will know where first crack will be roughly. Certain coffees will crack at different temps but they usually fall within maybe a 5-10 degree window. Once you have a first crack noted, the next time the coffee nears that same temperature it should crack

Troubleshooting la Peppina double basket fit

Orphan Espresso used to have 45 mm dosing funnels, I have one, but you can still get a small one there which is 43.5 which should fit the La Peppina and the even smaller Caravel filters. I picked up mine long before 3D printing was an option. {link} You could search for 45 mm dosing funnels, print one

Beanconqueror - App

Thanks, Lars, for the continued work on Beanconqueror. I like that I can link the Decent scale to it and tare from the app. It makes pre-weighing espresso doses easier than taring on the scale directly

Fiorenzato AllGround review

I don't think The Fiorenzato AllGround is particularly loud, and also I find its sound to be pleasing. It's certainly no where near as loud as a Baratza

QuickMill Carola - Replacing steam valve question

My QuickMill Carola steamer needs a new valve as the original one is dripping. I have purchased a new valve and my question is whether any sealant is used between the back of the valve and the copper fitting that connects it (via a small section of copper tube) to the boiler. I assume I should disconnect the short

Fiorenzato AllGround review

Not sure if you already purchased a grinder, but I have the Fiorenzato AllGround and it's GREAT! It has the precision needed for dialing in. I have a La Pavoni Professional (2003 model), and it needs very fine adjustments, which are no problem with the Fiorenzato AllGround. I've been able to dial my espresso in quite easily and make

Fiorenzato AllGround review

I have an issue when coarse settings are not enough to make a standard espresso with 9 bar, I have to rotate wheel to maximum coarse position but the grind size is still too big. Fiorenzato sells shims which should be placed under burrs {link} but the price in $41 is really overkill for just 3 small pieces of
