Help moving on from Blue Bottle dripper

I've tried V60, Origami S, Kalita Wave 185/155, Fellow Stagg X, Bonmac and Aeropress. The only one I like and use is the Blue Bottle dripper. My grinder is Comandante and I grind light roasts on 25 clicks and dark roasts 26 clicks using the Gawoody motor. I use the blue bottle filters cause I like them and I don't...

Lelit Victoria question/possible problem

I have found many times in life that spending more upfront costs less in the long run. Espresso has proven to be a primary example of that for me. A big part of home espresso is enjoying the process of making it. Given how infuriating it can be to get that little pile of grounds to behave the same way...

Help moving on from Blue Bottle dripper

Hey Tom, thanks! Wow, that filter you have fits perfectly. I unfortunately do not have anything like that lying around. Yeah I am constantly trying to pull up on the wet filter so its not glued to the bottom but that rarely works. I'll be on the look out for something that could fit in there.

Help moving on from Blue Bottle dripper

Welcome to HB Alex! Do you happen to have any sort of spare metal mesh screen you can drop into the bottom of the BB dripper? The perfect fit happens to be a dispersion screen for something like a Cremina lever. Here's mine, and it's what I use for both the Blue Bottle dripper and the Fellow dripper. The filters...

SF Coffee Festival

I'm completely done with food/beverage festivals in the greater Bay Area, specifically large "coffee-fest's" or whatever they might be called. I've never been to a single one that could support the volume of attendees. Crazy long lines, standing shoulder to shoulder in crowds of folks who may not be really into coffee, but are more into sharing their minute-by-minute updates...

Help moving on from Blue Bottle dripper

It sounds like you're off to a great start with the basic equipment. Before recommending anything, could you share a bit more about your recipe? What's the water:coffee ratio you are currently using? Typically a watery/weak brew, indicating a low extraction, can be remedied by tightening up on the grind or up-dosing but knowing your current recipe baseline can help...
