IMS baskets with 18g of coffee (Mara X users)

It's a "try it and see" thing. I've found the dose for a given basket to vary a couple grams across different roasts, without going any darker than a medium or so

Thought on this theoretical pressure profile?

Just curious, does the rate of puck erosion per coffee weight output correlate to the thickness of the puck? ie. assuming grind size and dose all the same, does a thinner puck (58mm basket) resistance drop faster than a thicker puck (49mm basket)?
