Fresh Roast SR800 - 1/2 lb Air Roaster

The Razzo tube is pretty thick glass making some think there is some conduction going on - he's transfer from the beans touching the hot glass. Who knows. But for the most part I think it works the same. I'm confused more often than not on how the heat and fan work together. Which of the following delivers more heat...

Thanks! 2-5 kg is quite a bit, and answers one of the questions I was wondering about. I have a 1 kg bag of Lavazza Super Crema, but was trying to work out some of the kinks before cracking the bag. In all actuality, I think it was cheaper than the TJ's stuff by weight, but I can't just go...

Dual grinder combo: Niche Zero (espresso) & Baratza Vario+ Steel Burr (filter) - thoughts?

I have a hyper-aligned Vario with Forte grind chamber and steel burrs. I no longer use it for pourover as I prefer my ghost burr grinders (Orphan Espresso Apex and Fuji Royal). I have the Vario modified for single dosing - a "single dosing hopper" does not in and of itself make the Vario a single dosing grinder. IMO you...

Decent Espresso news

{image} Two years ago, pre-COVID, I made an extensive video showing how to make your own coffee cart built on an inexpensive IKEA table, and Decent parts. {video} I was living in France at the time, and ran a sunday-only coffee cart at my local farmer's market. That's why there's an X in my "espresso" cart signage. Here's a video...

The control box on my Rocket Giotto is fried...

I would replace both sides of the green connector and like cafeIKE said, double up those traces with some solid wire so you know they are good. It's a simple fix if you can get the connector off without damaging the PCB. Ira

Duomo The Eight Review

Well I'm now in the game. After spending almost a year on the fence wondering if 8 ultra thin needles on a well made spinning metal disk was worth the money, I pulled the tigger. The Duomo came today and I had a chance to unbox, set it up, and use it on my afternoon espresso. Paying this amount of...

ECM Synchronika / Ceado E37S - New Owner

Many grinders need 2-5 kg of coffee grind through them to start to settle in and 5-10 kg to stop "drifting" significantly. There good news is that TJ's coffee is probably reasonably inexpensive. I'd grind through that, checking carefully for non-coffee things (happens even with the best roasters), taking your time to let the grinder cool a bit between batches....

Olympia Cremina repair help!

To elaborate on Gary's point, see "Olympia Cremina 2002: The evolution of design" and refer to this diagram. The dipper tube is shown above the RESISTENZA with the arrows leading to the GRUPPO ESPRESSO. {image}

Dual grinder combo: Niche Zero (espresso) & Baratza Vario+ Steel Burr (filter) - thoughts?

Ah dbdnt, so you're running my possible future setup then? How do you like it with the niche for espresso and the Vario steel burr for drip?
