Duomo The Eight Review

Well I'm now in the game. After spending almost a year on the fence wondering if 8 ultra thin needles on a well made spinning metal disk was worth the money, I pulled the tigger. The Duomo came today and I had a chance to unbox, set it up, and use it on my afternoon espresso. Paying this amount of...

ECM Synchronika / Ceado E37S - New Owner

Many grinders need 2-5 kg of coffee grind through them to start to settle in and 5-10 kg to stop "drifting" significantly. There good news is that TJ's coffee is probably reasonably inexpensive. I'd grind through that, checking carefully for non-coffee things (happens even with the best roasters), taking your time to let the grinder cool a bit between batches....

I'd like to hyperalign it at some point, but figured it'd be best to replace it with the Forte parts while I do...

ECM Synchronika / Ceado E37S - New Owner

I have never made an espresso at home before today. I recently bought an ECM Synchronika w/ Flow Control and a Ceado E37S to pair with it. So I kind of jumped into the deep end of the pool without knowing how to swim, but that's ok. Now to figure out what I'm doing before I drown. I bought a...

PID on Olympia Cremina

I read a post from Dr Pavlis about one hole tip sizing back in 2017: "Single hole steam tip diameters for lever machines" I have followed this advice on my Clubs and when I had a Cremina, as well as my MCAL.

Niche Zero spares not available in Europe?

Can you use a freight forwarder? Not sure of the situation in Europe, but for a long time us Aussie's had to use freight forwarders to get things out of the US.
