Moving from Mignon Specialita to Ceado e37s or Atom 75

Thanks for all the replies. I don't have a wad of money burning a hole in my pocket here, so happy to hear about minor differences now rather than after I buy. For what it's worth, I've read about single dosing and while I can totally get the benefits of that, it's not for me.

Moka pot question about the amount of coffee in the filter basket

You may be right the vessel / brewer may not be the right one for you. So, moka pot is not an espresso machine but also not a brewer that is meant to make you the amounts of coffee you get when making filter coffee (pour over, drip). In italy we use the 1-cup moka pot to make coffee

What are they doing here?

That video is almost certainly a parody. I've seen roasters make videos that poke fun at themselves for taking it all too seriously before. The floating math and the Doc from Back to the Future are a bit of a giveaway. With that I'm saying it's canned baked beans in those glasses

Option-O Lagom 01 Discussion

I guess that depends on what you currently have as your "best" grinder. In my case that's a 078, so I am in no rush. Option-O told me that I can order the 98mm burr carriers at a later time as well. From that perspective if I ever feel like needing 98mm burrs that option will be there

IMS baskets with 18g of coffee (Mara X users)

Take my experience with a grain of salt - Mara X is my first machine, and I'm about 2.5 weeks in. I started with 18 g in the 18-21 basket, found 17.5 in the 14-18 basket worked better. I'm currently experimenting with 18.5 to 19.5 in the 18-21 basket. They all pull at different times with the same grind for
