How often do you clean your grinder, and do they get very dirty?

It's very difficult to tell how much coffee that is stuck in your grinder might make it's way into your next dose. How can you tell? You can measure the difference between bean weight and grounds weight and if you get a negative number then that indicates something older has come out. Usually the grounds weigh less than the beans

How often do you clean your grinder, and do they get very dirty?

Im skeptical you could taste a difference. In my grinder, a p100, there's almost nothing that doesn't stay put permanently. Maybe .03-.5 gram of retention that stays put in screw holes, etc. THEN, not all of that retained coffee is exposed surface area... I doubt for a regularly used low retention grinder it needs cleaned

The craziest %#*$ing thing I've seen all day...

That's been my understanding as well. It explains why darker roasted coffee would have more caffeine per unit weight of grounds. But it doesn't explain why light roast would have more caffeine than medium roast. Back on topic: {image}

Best grinder aesthetically for KDVW Speedster

If you're going from a kafatek monolith flat, don't downgrade, let that speedster fly at its highest potential, I'd vote either using specht or frank setting you up with Titus nimbus. That chrome suits the kdvw aesthetic pretty well

Weber Workshops Key Mk. ii Grinder & User Experience

For espresso, what kind of grind range are y'all finding the Key to have? Do you have to approach the zero point at all for decaf with slow feeding, for example? (I'm asking as a DF64 Gen 2 owner with a unit that requires very fine adjustment between 3 and chirp, giving me very little flexibility to play with grind

How often do you clean your grinder, and do they get very dirty?

I recently pre-ground 1 gram and left it out for 24 hours. I then added it to a 28 gram V60 and I didn't notice a difference. I am now more chill about it all since my Kafatek has anywhere from .2 grams retention when grinding for espresso to zero for most pourover grinding. Try it with your grinder...it

Quest M6

I've bought them from Quest and from Amazon. there's nothing special about them; you just have to get the correct physical size and the type to match your thermometer
