There is a higher likelihood that a long extraction time can have good results with zero bypass. Tricolate is a good example of this. But immersion is probably the main reason. It's been on the Clive website for a week or two also. It shows out of stock with an anticipated arrival of late May. I called them and they may open it for pre-order soon

Weber Workshop BIRD: How's the brew?

Okay, try number two. This morning, I kept all variables the same except bumped up the water temp to 200F and kept the overall brew time to 5 minutes. This was an immediate 4-5 rotations of the "gizmo" followed by a 4-minute steep and a one-minute err...reverse plunge. The resulted in a much sweeter, less drying, brew so I think
