Breville Barista Express requiring coarser grind

I'm confused.. the pressure gauge is where it should be when the grind is at an 8, so why go finer? If I go finer than an 8, all I get are drips of espresso. Nothing more than 15g in 30 seconds

Mystery Grinder HELP

Hi knowledgeable friends, There is a new grinder out there (not yet released probably). I cannot for the life of me remember the name. They have 3 versions. a large flat, a large conical and then a double grinder than has both combined. The combined one actually looked like 2 Monoliths stuck together. All single

Bullet Roast Along-Brazil: Lagender or etc

that is looking really good. and if it is tasting nice then that is grerat. one thing i do notice is that you are changing your power a lot during the roast which could be hard to repeat. i would recommend trying to recrate the same profile with less power changes as this will be a less involved roasting method

Breville Dual Boiler BES920 pump flow at zero pressure?

I've measured the debit (from the group) on my own BES900, and it's barely 280ml/min. However, from the hot water tap I'm getting the 420ml/min that some people have here as well. Should these two be the same? Or does the pump have "less resistance" when outputting through the tap?

End game grinder: EG-1, Kafatek MC4 or Flat Max?

Often followed by "Now that I'm part of the elite club who owns "x", tell me the magic recipe to make the best espresso with no understanding or effort required." I didn't get that sense from OP, but Luca is spot on-have some idea of what your preferences are before asking for advice and realize "best" is relative to

"End Game" hopper grinder

When i first got the Rocket machine plus a 50mm Faustino my intention was that this would stay with me for 10 years+. It is perfectly adequate for sure as I certainly do better at home than most coffee shops in my city. But as I consider better controls and maybe differentiating flavor profiles, I probably need flow

Ulka pump seems to mute during brewing

Okay, just mounted the new Ulka pump - so far so good. I'm currently waiting for the OPV rubber seal. Is it correct, that the OPV is actually the place to adjust the brew pressure? The farther screwed down the top part is, the more pressure? This variable needs to be checked as well when everything is put
