Olympia Cremina - Need help, broken dipper tube

{image} All done, first few coffee made, lot to learn with first lever mashine. I have painted the asbestos insulation on boiler with heat resistant paint to prevent dusting. Cleaned SS panels, brushed face plate, polished rods and linkage.... I have to change piston seals as old piston just poped in grouphead with no resistance and it leaks slowly as...

New Ikawa Home Roaster - 100g capacity

Yep. Seems like it would have been smart to let the early adopters use all the functionality. As it stands now, will be interesting to see if the updated basic roast editor allows enough control to satisfy home users.

Odyssey Espresso (Argos Lever prototype)

^^^ Well, some news is better than no news. But geeze, that thing look tiny. Still, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping to die that the Argos will be a Cremina beater.

Next best grinder upgrade with budget around $600?

Hello, I'm starting to consider my next upgrade, and what's the best use of my money. I've got a Sette 270 and Breville Dual Boiler for espresso, and a Baratza Encore with M2 burr upgrade that I use for V60 (me) and Aeropress (my girlfriend). We use the Encore M-F, 10 total cups (22 gram doses). Espresso on weekends, 4-5...

Searching for an all-round grinder

Hate to say it, but if you are looking for a really good all around grinder, then you might want to consider going high end like a Weber EG-1. I realize this is more than you want to spend. The Mignon XL is a nice grinder - mine is a few months old, but the there is a night and...

Lagom P64 Flat (Option-O)

Last year I upgraded my NZ for a P64 Unimodal so I think I can answer this one. Both are great grinders and honestly the NZ is also built like a tank. It doesn't make sense to compare conical and flat burrs but basically if you don't drink straight espresso from light roasts and depending where you live the NZ...

Normcore V4 tamper ... grinding noise?

Just got my Normcore v4 today. Yes, I had that grinding noise too. I've since polished the internal parts with 2000 grit paper and it has made a difference. I'm sure I can go even smoother if I decide later that it's warranted. Interestingly the top stud on mine is aluminum rather than stainless, which is likely a good thing...

New Ikawa Home Roaster - 100g capacity

Thanks. I guess on the bright side there is now zero reason to rush and pre-order.
