La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi II - overflowing vacuum breaker

Sounds like the water level sensor isn't working -- it's not detecting ground until the steam boiler is filled to the tippy-top. Once the water heats up, it overflows out the vacuum breaker. You can verify the steam boiler is overfilled by measuring with a wooden dowel through a fitting on top of the boiler. For those following along, a...

La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi II - overflowing vacuum breaker

Any idea what would cause the vacuum breaker valve to overflow? I had an issue with the vacuum breaker not closing properly and recently replaced it. While taking it out, the middle pin dropped into the steam boiler and i had to disconnect everything and take out the boiler to get it out. So far I've replaced the following in...

NEW* ECM Classika VS USED* Rocket Mozzafiato Type R

Yea I would only leave the e61 for a spring lever and it does have a pid, shot timer it is missing though but that's fine if I can get a lever but I am concerned about the drip tray size as that's my biggest pet peeve with the Silvia

Greens Alert

10lbs for me as well. Tasting notes sound great, though I find it odd that Tom mentioned unevenness at light roasts which is usually par for the course with Ethiopian Naturals. Major Bellman stovetop steamer breakthrough!

I'm genuinely curious why the cooling of the steam wand would help in creating better steamed milk? I really don't know too much so just wondering why or how that would affect things. I can imagine that a hot steam wand tip would lead to a faster steaming milk since the milk temp would increase faster? If so, then I...

Flow profiling with dark and medium roast coffees

Medium to dark roasts are easier to extract as to whether or not it benefits with flow or pressure profiling opinions will vary. If you wanted to try, a profile copying what a lever does is a good idea. You start at high 8 or 9 bar pressure and decline as the shot progresses to reduce bitter and astringents. A...

Major Bellman stovetop steamer breakthrough!

Wow! I didn't think of that... that's a really good idea. I'll have to do some weight comparisons next. So it seems in your case you start with 200g and end up with a final weight of 220g? Very interesting...

Just set up my new daily driver, Bezzera Lever

OK, guys, thanks for the encouragement and the tips about gaskets OK, I will see if I can find gaskets and will turn the machine off. It is off for the weekend now anyhow, so here is hoping that the spring hasn't caught too much rust.

Auto Vacuum Canister (Kickstarter)

Ok now that I have had my engineering lesson for the day time for a beer. Thanks for all this education. I think I can summarize these responses with - drink more coffee before it goes bad.
