IKAWA Home - profiles
I'm mainly a light/Nordic roast drinker, and I easily over roast my beans (or under-develop and get grassiness). I'm following Rob Hoos recipe, "Rob Hoos Ikawa blog post, very informative" The peak inlet temperature is 228 C, whereas light roast I often read that the peak temperature "should" be around 195-205 C. Sure, I dont know if they

Domobar Jr Hx Temperatures
What a hornet's nest this thermometer has thrown at my cooling flush process. Feel like I have no idea what to do, now. Lots of experimenting to do, but painfully aware that this Taylor thermometer has too slow of a refresh rate

What do I gain/lose switching from a Robot to a Ponte Vecchio Export?
I've no experience with either machine, but for this amount of money, I'd be looking at a used Vectis (one is in the buy/sell section at the moment). 58mm with a much larger group, larger shot volume and better thermal stability would be well worth the extra money for me

Option-O Lagom 01 Discussion
That's true. I assume the same going the other way is true as well, if you order an O1 with a 98mm set you have the option to get a 102mm set at a later date?

The Export is 1249 euro now. I find it hard to justify that price given the Europiccola can be had for half that. I know there's a retailer in the US that has it for $999, but for the rest of us (outside the US), the Export is not priced very competitively

Travel grinder
I looked into the K6 handle a little more. It seems that because of the drill bit feature you need to swap some o-rings for true manual grinding mode. I am guessing those that had issues with the handle didn't do this. I like the aesthetics of the timemore better, but at the same price the K6 has fine click

[SOLD] Pullman Big Step Tamper 58.55mm
Selling my Pullman Big Step Tamper. I bought this about 8 months ago. It is a great tamper. The precision machining out to 58.55mm results in a nice fit resulting in an even and consistent tamp. It also feels great in the hand. Selling price: $150 shipping to CONUS included {image} {image}
