Looking for Liberica

I ordered some green beans a few months ago from NewOrleans coffee including a pound of the Phillipines liberica batangas. I finally got around to roasting in my freshroast and found this thread when looking for roasting guidance. I just want to share that I really like the straight espresso and milk drinks I made and encourage anyone to

Please advise me on my grinder 'journey'

That's good to hear about the K series. My K Ultra makes great pour over. I have experimented with various coffees, but I think the issue is wiht the Gaggia as it is now. I don't get a feel for temperature or pressure, and I struggle to get a consistent, far less tasty shot. Have

Breville Infuser - fix myself or send in?

I have a Breville Infuser that is 13 years old. Worked great for several years but eventually solenoid issue arose. I couldn't get parts at the time , so I packed it up and it has sat in storage for 5 years now. I've pulled it back out and I think I could make the necessary repairs...or I could send

I suppose time varies by grind, water temp and agitation like with every other method. So, the finer the grind the lower the extraction time? OR is long saturation time something you can

Please advise me on my grinder 'journey'

I think that you'll find the DF 54 becomes a throwaway grinder. I've used a K-series grinder and get good results with a machine as simple as a Cafelat Robot. The first thing I would try changing would be the coffee

Breville Dual Boiler Mods and Maintenance

Is there a way to tell how old a machine is? I'm positive it's older than 2018, bought it used to play with in 2021 and that owner had it for a couple years and did the Slayer mod (I did the brass stuff etc), but he also bought it used from someone whom had it years prior (it's a

Breville Dual Boiler Mods and Maintenance

This was a fruitful discussion. My mid-2018 machine has a different vacuum breaker than yours. It does not have that white gasket thing, for starters. Or a red/silicone o-ring. Further, I have a spare anti-vac valve and it also does not have that white gasket or any red o-rings. Breville has made rolling changes
