Do I Have Low Flow Control Values?
I've done a few days of shots now. I turn the valve a half turn for the pre-infusion. That takes about 20 seconds. I then do another full turn, which is almost full open. The pressure goes up to 7.5-8.5 bars. When I get to around 20g in the cup, I close the valve a half a turn. I stop

Fellow's new brewer - Aiden Q&A
Hey there. I don't think I am going to publicly state the fixed flow rate because it took me a fair bit of work to get to the right one. We're at the boundary of physics for the full tolerance of voltages out of the wall. All I will say is that the flow rate is fixed and only the

I know you have 3 roasters already participating in the preorder who will be providing profile recommendations. Are you planning on having profiles provided with any fellow drops after launch? Do you expect roasters to develop profiles for their releases outside of fellow drops?

Any alternative to Behmor?
I am searching for an affordable roaster (less than $1000) that will do a 1 lb batch (or close to it since Behmor does not do well with 16 oz of greens). My 15-year-old Behmor (original 1600 model) stopped rotating the drum. I can try replacing the drum motor for $30 in parts plus shipping. Or upgrade it with

Is Heat Exchanger Temperature Stability Really That Bad?
An interesting thread, which verifies a number of notions in my head regarding PID's and their ability to 'make everything stable'. I do see mentioned often, and certainly within manufacturers marketing, more and more machines are coming with a PID fitted and it's something that new prospective buyers will really look for and seek out. I suppose my notion was

On many grinders with burrs mounted horizontally, backing off the grind setting - unscrewing the adjuster entirely - is necessary to remove the upper burr. Thus, the grind setting is lost. You can, of course, make a note of the setting value and reset upon re-installation of the upper burr

Fellow's new brewer - Aiden Q&A
It's an interesting product with a lot of features. 1. What's the lowest temperature that you can program to brew hot coffee with? 2. Is the cold brew done with a longer contact time and a slower flow rate? What sort of brew times are used for cold brew?

Which grinder would you choose!!??
You are buying a very nice Espresso Machine, don't compromise of the grinder. I wouldn't limit your search to Clive Coffee either. I've moved from a hopper-based grinder to a quality single dose grinder and it makes every bit if not more of an improvement in my espresso experience than my new espresso machine. I don't know your

Again: NOT MY WORDS. I did not complain about losing my settings. I noted that Mazzer's marketing is utilizing those specific words as part of their sales pitch (I sorta presumed that anyone interested in the grinder would have read those words on Mazzer's web page). I also noted that if you move your setting from espresso to drip, you've
