It's not only about the destination

"Even if that task is mundane and only seen as an obstacle to something else - such as washing dishes [ed: or making espresso] - focus on what you are doing right now and there will almost always be something to enjoy."[/I] --Henry (HH), "How to find zen in espresso?"

Expobar Brewtus IV issues.

Cannon has you set up with how to fix brew pressure. Preinfusion is just above the neutral spot with the lever, but the pump should not turn on or you went too far. If plumbed in it is line pressure doing the work. If not, it is pressure inside the brew boiler that is pushing water out.

Breville Dual Boiler Mods and Maintenance

Hi all, I am new to the BDB world with my Sette 270. I brew light to medium roast. I am still struggling with the preinfusion settings and I hope someone can give me further advice. Currently I am experimenting preinfusion presure of 55% for 20s. Since in the past Scott Rao mentioned ideally preinfusion should be done with minimum...

Where is the magnetic float switch on Profitec Pro 700?

It's in the bottom water tank. Might have gotten a little stuck when you let it dry out. Here is what mine (pro800) looks like. Based on the diagram, it's the exact same on the pro700. 6/7 are the parts in the tank. Pull the water tank, shake it a little and it will probably start working. Diagram: {image} Back...

Which espresso machine under $5000 budget for light & dark roasts

Hey, I'm in big trouble, having my head full of machines but can't decide which one to go with. My drink profile is 75% light roast espressos and 25% medium/dark roast with milk. The machine that I'm working with at the moment is a flair pro 2, but the whole workflow with pre heating every thing isn't the best anymore,...

Alternatives to BPlus shower screen

I'm in Canada too and just made a purchase from Cafune. I think I'm going to get the bplus one from Cafune too but also a cheap one from Amazon to compare the differences. I wouldn't be surprised if you can buy an off brand one of identical quality. I'm trying to source them for a wider use in a...

CMA grouphead venting

I think it would be far more productive to machine the top of the piston to accept a 4th seal as Bosco does. That way you'd never have to worry about water getting up in the spring area.
