Quick Mill QM67 Flow/Pump Help

I'll keep the cover off to keep a closer eye on things when it happens again. As far as that time, the machine pulled a shot successfully maybe 2 hours prior to it not pumping for the shot in the video. Pump lines are free of kinks and twists - I've tried to keep them as reasonably straight as possible....

Thin, watery shots with Breville Dual Boiler "Slayer mod"

Obviously I can't taste it, but that looks like a decent pull.

Searching for an all-round grinder

You can add DF64 and Fiorenzato All ground to your list for research. I'm using an X54 and am generally happy with it. If you typically keep beans in the hopper, you'll lose about 40g of beans when purging to switch out the beans. It's not a huge issue for me since I only do pourover once or twice a...

Coffee brewing too long and caffeine

Since the caffeine in a cup of coffee is measured in mg, typically around 100 mg, I don't think that solubility of caffeine in water will come into play here. Even at 0°C the caffeine solubility limit is way up at 600 mg.

Cannot find the obstruction in HX/thermosiphon (Bezzera Mitica)

Empty the machine of water, put descaling solution in the tank and let the machine fill, pull some shots so it gets everywhere. Depending on the instructions let the machine heat up and sit for a bit and then purge all the solution out and flus with water till it's gone. Or take off the suspect pipes, put them in...

Does removing coffee fines (e.g. with a sieve) always improve flavor?

I didn't find that sieving my coffee made it better. Just different. Less rich. BUT, I really didn't experiment with changing my brew and grind methods, so I don't think I gave it a fair shake.

Thin, watery shots with Breville Dual Boiler "Slayer mod"

Here's a vid, about as good as I could get it dialed but can see how fast it starts to blonde and starts showing some channeling and ghost spots starting. Any finer and that just gets worse, and coarser and the shot is even thinner tasting, crema weaker than already weak crema. 19g/38 out in 43 seconds I think. Still...

Help identify a part for Avanti Milano

That's what looks like a perfectly standard "cartridge heater," 800 watt, 110V. Search Amazon, ebay and aliexpress.com for that and find one the same size. Ira

Cannot find the obstruction in HX/thermosiphon (Bezzera Mitica)

The only idea I have right now sounds a bit iffy: I could put descaling in the tank, close the clear pipe (the lower one) with a finger, and make the pump push the descaling through the upper pipe... Obviously a gloved hand is needed here. But maybe there is a better idea?
