Humidity sensor on exhaust - other gas sensors ?

Yeah, about those gas drum roasters... A key rationale for the air pump, was to enable actively 'pulling' whatever gasses you're trying to monitor, from wherever they happen to be. For example, I've been picturing a modified tryer with the sniffer tube integrated into the tryer so the gas can be pulled directly from the beans: "Humidity sensor

DIY La Marzocco Linea Micra Scale Tray

I was joking initially when I quipped that someone should just print a new drip tray to get rid of the reservoir hump. Maybe half joking... Printed from ASA that is labeled to have a working temp of 100°C, I think it will hold up to my light use but we shall see. The original is

Intelligentsia - What are your favorites?

Sorry, hope it's not too late to respond to your questions. I've only ordered Classic and Analog. 7 days post roast seems to work for me. It does get more of that chocolate note with time, say 12 to 15 days post roast

Breville Dual Boiler Manual Descaling

Hi, I recently purchased a used BDB 920XL from a small coffee shop. According to the owner she purchased back in December 2022 with an assumption that could handle the workload but after a month she realized she needs a commercial machine. She told me the machine pulled 250 shots while I checked it later and it was 820

Weber Workshops UNIBASKET grounds stuck

Our kitchen faucet is one of those newer type with the button that you can hold down and spray a jet of water. I blast it from both sides, about 5 seconds, and it's totally free of any grounds. Yes, compressed air works very well too

Nuova Simonelli single lever espresso machine

Your life seems so dull. I pity you. There are a bunch of places online that have parts for the la Pav. I just replaced a bunch in a gen2. Coffee addicts in Alberta does. I also found some good prices on {link} who shipped to Canada without extra duty (I think it was through royal mail).

Breville Dual Boiler Mods and Maintenance

Hi, first post here. Loving all the great info being shared here. I'm having some issues with my BES920 v1 that seem similar to what others report, but I'm a little unsure if these relate to a common cause or my machine has multiple issues needing multiple fixes! I did most of the o-rings (all the boiler ones), and
