Travel Milk (non-refrigerated?)

Good thoughts, all. Thanks. So no one on here uses those little shelf stable half and half packets then? Yup, I see that UHT, good to know. Sounds like our best bet so far, maybe a thermos of real milk too. Of course the other option is we learn to enjoy our espresso without

Lagom P64 Flat (Option-O)

I do not recall many complaining about the HU burrs not grinding fine enough. It takes some time to season though. At the start mine were producing grind with more fines, even visually, but later they produced what I expected - fluffy grind that hardly needed much puck prep

Cloudy water from hot water spout only - Rocket Appartamento

Ok. 3 full flushes via the hot water spout? I'm just running it until no water comes out 3 times? And then the advice was to use the spout daily after that to heat a cup, right?

Artisan - BT curve and ROR lag

Welcome Matteo. Are both graphs of the same roast and just aligned differently? It looks that way since in the second graph the 0:48 TP occurs after the 0:57 TP of the background roast. To get both to match requires a very consistent and systematic pre-charge routine protocol. Artisan only shows you the current temperature of the

Cloudy water from hot water spout only - Rocket Appartamento

Because the water in your boiler has probably not been let out despite a lot of steaming... Steaming evaporates out the water but leaves the minerals behind, concentrating more and more. Give the boiler three flushes to bring it back to clear, then use the hot water valve to pre-heat a cup before brewing to keep enough

Cloudy water from hot water spout only - Rocket Appartamento

Hi all, I picked up a 2nd hand 4 year old Appartamento recently which works perfectly but was clearly not regularly cleaned / maintained. I popped the shower screen off and it was covered in a layer of grime. The previous owner wasn't aware that the water reservoir is removable and it also was covered in a light

Lelit vs Decent buying advice wanted

It definitely is one of the smaller trays I've worked with, but I'm surprised at how infrequently I have to empty it. I don't clean my portafilters with the water from the machine because I use that special water for coffee as much as possible. I use a tap nearby

1957 Urania 2nd gen refurb

Wobbler weights work fine, just don't let the machine move suddenly while under pressure . With a gasket between the metal pin and the valve holder that screws into the boiler they can work just as well as the modern ones. Safety valves work fine, but if you really like to go old school the modern stuff

Travel Milk (non-refrigerated?)

At Walmart you can buy "Milk2go" - that's what I use for my latte when I travel around in Canada and the US. Works well. It's either in the cooled milk session (why?) or near the cashier. Depends on the Walmart you're at {link}
