Canadian Roaster Recommendations
A roaster I've recently been impressed with is 94 Celsius out of Montreal. The Covalent blend is really solid. It's not a classic dark Italian style shot but more of a solid, balanced darkish medium. consistent over multiple orders. Definitely try the Manic blend. Tony is usually spot on with his recommendations for the classic profile stuff

Dear ira, Thank you for your reply! Then it makes sense that there is a knob in this position. Thank you very much for your help. It's my first time working with a vintage machine, so there are a lot of things I don't know. I would be happy if you could continue to teach me

Who's still buying conventional tampers?
I've thought about purchasing a new tamper several times, but my Quickmill came with a solid tamper, so I've just resisted the temptation all these years

How to use vintage faema President 1958
I think I remember someone mentioning they were to shut off the water to the sight glass in case it's broken. Someone who know better will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong

Highest chance of success - roasters
Thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts and experience. I have access to some decent local roasters and they charge $15-$20 for a 12oz bag. Given the wide range of comments, I think I'll start with a cheap option (I already own a heat gun) and see where that gets me

Option-O 98mm Mizen Burrs - User Experience
I have an order in for an O1 with 102mm but with the delays I'm considering switching to the 98mm mizen. Has anybody here had a chance to experience the 102 and 98mm for espresso?
