Upgraditus - Mod La Spaziale Vivaldi II, or a new espresso machine?

Thanks for all the inputs. I wasted the day surfing the net. CoffeeMac, the Londinium Compressa does look nice. Are the steam and hot water joy stick valves? That might be a no-go because my afternoon drinks are cortados, and I steam 2 oz of milk in a 5 oz picture. I think

E61 Flow Control Device and pressure

So I've read a lot lately about pressure and flow and how they are interrelated. I know with something like a Stada, you can truly control pressure with the pump. I currently have a Pro 600 with FCD, and I've noticed that when I do long preinfusions, at some point the pressure rises to 9 bar no matter what, so

Water loses TDS with time?

That was my first thought as well, but it looks like both KHCO3 and MgSO4 have a solubility of around a hundred-someodd g/L at freezing. Maybe there's some weird fractionation by density over time as the water sits, but I think the salts should be staying fully dissolved

Issue With 2021 Olympia Cremina: Lever touches portafilter handle

Thanks man. the issue isnt that its not turning enough. The issue is that the portafilter engages (locks in) to the left of the lever handle, so when i pull it to the right, the portafilter handle hits the lever handle. for a machine this expensive, this seems like bad design. So I was wondering if this was common

Issue With 2021 Olympia Cremina: Lever touches portafilter handle

As the group gasket is new, it is still stiff and is preventing the portafilter from turning to its more common position. As it wears in, the handle will turn further and further away from the lever (at the 12 O'Clock position. That should reduce or eliminate any interference between the two handles. Nice machine by the way!

New Ikawa Home Roaster - 100g capacity

It might help us to study a bit more roasting theory. I'm still very novice and many of the threads are over my head but I really enjoyed the thread in the Roasting FAQ section about roast profiles. Another_jim has some good stuff, per usual: (The last paragraph there I think he is talking about the drying stage
