CNN aired another interview with my friend Mokhtar Alkanshali and the author of his book, Dave Eggers. They're still on their book tour, pressing the flesh and meeting many different people in coffee along the way. It's interesting watching someone you know personally blowing up on social media (within your circle of coffee-dom), but I wish him all the success possible and I think he's doing great work for the farmers in Yemen and bringing attention to their plight.

There's an episode of the SCA podcast with him, in case anyone wants more. I have it on iTunes from 10/17/17 Bonus: Mokhtar Alkhanshali at Bloom San Francisco. I'm assuming that's not the same as the CNN story as I haven't watched it yet.

What an engaging story he has! I'm all for helping those who are suffering and simply trying to make a living.

Your friend is an admirable spirit!

I just finished the book and it sure reads like an adventure novel. All I can say is there is no time in my life when I would have had the courage or lack of sense, or derring do to accomplish what Mokhtar did. Its breathtaking.
