Just popping in to say that my most successful affogato has been with a high quality vanilla bean gelato. Tried lots of variations, but that's what we come back to.

Just made vanilla custard with Tahitian vanilla beans, should make a sublime affogato. I'm planning on bringing some to the Chicago get together next week.
