Hi Eric, erics wrote:You are going to need a new brew valve at some time . . .maybe now. So why not simply either take an old toothbrush to the rubber valve face or buy a new brew valve?
Bezzera MAY provide you one gratis but the problem will be solved with a new brew valve from wherever.
Skol,
Eric
Thanks for your help!
How do you see that? What part of the valve is damaged (just for my learning)? I'll try to brush it and will look in to order a new one. Maybe Bezzera will agree to send me one as the machine is new and under warranty.

See a copy of your pic below. There is some debris on the face.
The "rubber" valve face can be replaced but it is somewhat tricky. The pin is screwed onto a threaded shaft but is held in place with a thread locking compound. I have replaced many using a heat gun and a small 5 mm wrench. Some gentle cleaning with a toothbrush may solve your problem. Put a light film of silicone grease on the pin where it contacts the cam.
PS - nice pics you posted.

Other question: how can I purchase one of your thermometers?

Hi Eric,
I've done the steps you recommended. I'm not sure about the result. IT seems hotter, but I'm not certain.
I'd like to test it. Can you please tell me what temperature I should expect when I measure the hot water coming out of the group-head without a portafilter?

You would need to get that answer from someone with your machine and operating with your pstat setting.
