Hi all!

I have spent a few hours searching for information on some new (to me) espresso gear I picked up and can't seem to identify this one item. It is very similar to a portafilter, but I just have no clue what the heck it is for. It came with a Moka Supreme espresso machine, which is a Saeco clone that also went by the La Pavoni Euromatic.



Any information on what it is called and/or used for would be appreciated!
