Starbucks EL-60/Solis 166/Saeco GT-1 replacement burrs too fine

Grinders are one of the keys to exceptional espresso. Discuss them here.

Hi all,

Recent viewer, first time poster.

I recently bought a used Starbucks El-60 on Ebay specifically for drop coffee use. I noticed the beans were sticking in the hopper so I figured it probably needed new burrs. After a bit of searching I figured out that Baratza sells these. The plastic burr holder is slightly different and didn't fit as well so I pulled off the original and put it on the new burr.

It seems like after replacing these the grind is much finer than it should be.
For the drip setting it seems almost good enough for espresso and the French press barely passable for drip coffee.
(The attached picture is at the french press setting.)

Has anyone had any similar experiences with this. I didn't know if someone modified the grinder originally to go finer but taking it apart it doesn't seem like it can go any coarser than it already is.

Let me know if i'm misinformed and that is the correct grind size for the setting.

Thanks!
