I just checked my Pro800. There's almost no gap on the right side. It works just fine. I got it a few months ago from an Ontario vendor, and had to return the first shipment due to shipping damage.

Interesting - thanks for the observation. Also, I think I may have bought the machine you returned as an Open Box. Apart from this little snag, I am loving this machine. The vendor has been very helpful too. Pete
