Can you, may be, look at my pictures above? Are my LM baskets 'advanced precision'? They look different than VST's, not polished.Peppersass wrote: LM Advanced Precision Baskets are manufactured the same way, but the optical scanning process isn't used. Just FYI, LM changed the finish on their basket to matte. apparently to make it work better with auto-tamper and reduce channeling.

I see, that answers the question. Thanks! Yes, channeling with polished baskets was sometime a problem. I learnt a lot about baskets today. Matte is better, it turns out.
What is interesting, is that the extraction time is much less with the VST. I have to grind the same dose much finer as compared to LM AP baskets.
