You guys are saints. Thank you gentlemen!
I replaced it tonight (yes, I realize it is almost 5am.) Getting the valve back into the "v" shape was a little difficult but I managed. It isn't perfect but it works. Also, the nylon hose was a royal pain in the ***.
Nonetheless, problem solved. Works just as good as new, like the day first unpacked her out of the box. No more bubbling, constant flow of water at the group head, controlled steam, and a steady 9 bar of brew pressure.
And yes, the OPV gasket was definitely the culprit. Stefano was right - it was pretty cooked. I really wished that shops would just sell the gasket itself. Ugh. I guess I won't need to get an Andreja Premium or Bezzera Magica afterall!
