Wrench size for Gaggia steam wand

What size wrench is required to to remove the steam wand from the Gaggia classic? For example, specifically which exact wrench would you suggest? Context: replacing with a Rancilio steam wand

I would suggest just getting a small crescent wrench. I was able to complete this mod with that.

I know that doesn't exactly answer your question, but IMO the biggest struggle is with this mod is pending the steam tube if you decide to go with the V3 version

Because I'm a certified packrat I still have a couple of original Gaggia Classic long type ball joint steam wands, as well as Silvia V1 wands. The original Gaggia nut is 17mm. The Silvia V1 nut is 18mm. The interior nut diameter appears to be the same.
