That said the best results I ever gotten was from the thinner acupuncture needles. Some prefer these to be spread out at an angle and others to be straight and that requires two different technique to reduce channeling.
How thin exactly? I tried 0.22 (too flimsy), 0.25 and now I am at 0.30 mm. Which ones do you use?

Also, nobody has mentioned so far the exact thickness of the Moonraker's needles. Get out your calipers, folks :D

0.25mm is the ones I used now, 0.30mm also works but I don't think anything thicker then 0.30mm work nearly as well.

Thanks! I might go back to 0.25 mm. The 0.30 mm just feels better and a has a little more spine. I agree with you that 0.30 is the upper limit.

Does anyone have experience with both versions of the moonraker? Any performance or practical differences?

I have to say that this pricing is in line with the egregiously priced OCDs that do next to nothing of realizable value. At least this does something of real value IMHO.

The target demographic would refuse to purchase this thing if it cost any less. Can't have a $4500 grinder and a $6000 machine, and try to pair them with a WDT on which you've spent a mere $369.99. Doing that would clearly diminish your status.

Heard a story on the radio yesterday about a couple that had a fridge to give away. They left it at the edge of their driveway with a sign that read, "Working - Free".

It was there for a week - no takers. So they changed their sign.

"Working - $40 Cash"

It was stolen overnight!

Damn Skippy! Why should I pay so much money for this little gadget? Besides I can't afford it and the fancy wood accessories I want to purchase for my espresso machine.

This is why I jumped on it early! The Moonraker is worth at least $600, maybe $800 who knows?!! So $475 is a bargain!! 8)

Hey, I purchased my SworksDesign billet basket (the one with a billion holes) for $200, now selling on their website for $230!!! Just saying....

Edit: $235.00 (looked this morning) price keeps climbing!

Buy now or be priced out forever!

(I like my 'regular' Moonraker).
