So everybody says that, and then when one looks.. It is usually a 10A relay. Looking today the only 30A controller I can see is $40 shipped... A PID plus 25A SSR is right above $50.

Yes, they are not so easy to find, but they are available.
This one... ( $25 !) is typical . Ignore the 12V title and look at the model codes they quote in the add.

Note that the model 16M is the 30A relay and the one to ask for.
Just specify the voltage and relay capacity you need when you order.
But i also agree that you can get a PID and SSR for $25 if you prefer to go that way (more complex & bulky)
