The price for a new Slayer One Group has jumped from $8500 to $9500 over the new year. Anyone know the reason? Is it tariffs related? since they are US based i would not think so, or did Slayer just increase the price?

Wow. $2K more than a GS/3 MP, which can do flow and pressure profiling.

I don't see the prices any longer on their website. I don't recall them having a holiday sale either this year. I suspect it's due to the new ownership and changes overall.

And the DE Pro is 1/3 of the price, so what causes people to make price decisions at this level. I think for many cafes, the color and branding customizations could be part of it. I don't think the home market is their primary focus of even the one group.

It must the labor costs going up, as the Slayers are made in Seattle and costs keep going up for reasons I won't mention here.

Yes just the cost of living in Seattle alone was probably a factor as they grow.

Well, apparently not everyone increased the price. I just purchased a new Single Group Slayer today for $7800. Chris's Coffee has them listed for $8500 and was discounting $700 with free shipping. I should have it in 7-10 days!

That's great news! It'll just make justifying the purchase of a KvdW Speedster Idromatic that much easier should that time come.

Old stock will be sold for the old price.

I thought they came direct from the distributor. Were there any changes made to the machine?

Looking at the Chris Coffee website they are shipping them unless it's custom and then you have to pay ship fees. You got a great price. If they are changing something, no one has mentioned that yet.
