Hi all,

I'm trying to understand thermal stability of Mitica and learn how to use it for light roast. Light roast require hotter water. It's good to have 93-95C (200-205F) during extraction.
I went through following topics:
I changed pstat to 1.3bar to have hotter water, but it does not help as I don't know how to properly flush. I tried to follow @radudanutco no-flush-and-go procedure which is ok for first shot, but second one in underextracted. I clearly see on thermometer (not EricS but same principle) lower temperature and crema has lighter color too.

So I think I'm missing point and I think this discussion can be helpfull also for other so I'm asking more clever members for help

Looks like I just need to be more patient and try more shots.
Recently I'm following @radudanutco 'flush-and-wait' procedure with pstat set to 1.2bar and I'm getting quite consistent shots around 93-94C (199-201F)
