Rocket R58 v2 Temperature

Good Afternoon Everyone,
While working on dialing in my equipment I pulled out the PID and left it plugged-in so that I could get an understanding of how the Rocket R58 v2 reacts to brewing. That said, I'm using a medium to dark roast coffee and using Rocket's temperature guide supplied in the manual. The PID displayed temp is 105 degrees Celsius which translates into 197.6 degree brew head temp. That said, my PID temp drops from 105 to 101-102 during brewing. Does the temp need to be adjusted up to compensate for this drop?
Thanks in advance,
Brandon

You should ignore the PID readout once the pump starts. It shows the temperature of the boiler water near the inlet which is naturally more volatile.TxHr wrote:Does the temp need to be adjusted up to compensate for this drop?
