I have just picked up a Rocket espresso machine and am trying to work out the model and how old it is. I haven't had much luck in finding resources online to help ID it. Is there anyone here that can help? Thanks.

I think you have a Rocket Giotto Premium Plus from about 2011.

Can you post a pic of the model/ser.# sticker on the frame or body?

There is no overt 'Built Date' on that sticker and no search that reveals 'Rocket Espresso Serial Number Nomenclature' but based on the look of the machine, its serial number and my experience looking at all manor of serial numbers, I'd guess it was manufactured in 2011.

Looking inside the machine might further reveal the built date on some of its components, such as markings on a pump, a transformer, solenoids or electronic IC 'chips' or relays.

If you can include pics of stickers or stamped data of such items perhaps we can yet be successful in narrowing it down.

Agree.

For sure it's a Premium Plus V1 and 2011 is a good approximate date. (see Rocket Giotto worked fine for 4 years, then just stopped)

This was reportedly the first Rocket to have a thermosyphon restrictor (3 mm) in the HX loop. It also should have a nice hefty Sirai pStat.

The Premium Plus V2 came next and is clearly different because of having a second gauge for pump pressure.

You can see a parts diagram for your machine here: /downloads/ ... .03.09.pdf .
That pdf has two electrical diagrams that are confusingly mis-labelled and may not be correct for yours. The last diagram is probably close if your machine has a Sirai pstat and a ProElInd controller. This controller and wiring flashes the green light when the reservoir is low.

Any suggestions on where to buy servicing kits etc? I am in NZ and there doesn't seem like much of a market to get these and service yourself.
