Quick question for everyone re: pressure on the Pro 500. I just got mine and noticed when brewing that my pressure fluctuates from between 8.5 and 9.0 on the gauge when brewing - is this fluctuation normal? I thought it may be my tamping however it is repeatable when using the blind filter. Not really a concern for me, just looking to see if it is normal - I fist noticed it as the machine when spiking sounds like the pump is working harder.

Mine came from IDC, Canada and was set to 10 bar. I've had mine for about 3 weeks. The PID in mine was set for 248 which was waaayyy to low for brew water.. I have set mine to 254 to get closer to 200. I find it takes about 40 minutes to get stable.

My ambient temp is about 23C and am at sea level. My steam pressure is about 1.2 (middle green) .

When using the blind filter it pegs at 10 bar and doesn't waiver. When pulling a shot, it stays pretty solid at 10 bar with reasonably timed shot.. 25 second pull for 16in 32 out.
